Sinkhole in China with forest. —— The Lost World?

When I was an elementary school kid, I read that famous novel “The Lost World”. In a plateau in South America, in early 1900s found is a lost generation of biological environment and system where dinosaurs are roaming around. That is the overall scenery of that novel. The plateau provides perfect isolation to the biological environment there from any evolutionary movement. (At that time when the novel was written, collision of meteorite had not even yet on the mind of human.)
For such kids like me at that time, this background setting looked somewhat scientific and practical though at the same time I was well aware that it is just a fiction.

Then around 50 years later, I have encountered another, more and further realistic “Lost World”.

It is called “Sinkhole”.

A sinkhole recently found in China may keep somewhat lost generation of biological system because of its construction, which somehow has functioned as isolation from evolutionally or environmental changes. ——— some web articles state so.

In the sinkhole, they found ancient forest.

As you now can guess, these articles reminded me of “The Lost World”.
If I can say I have been well matured adult (really?), then this news can be modern adult version of that novel. Nevertheless, I know that most of the preserved lost generation will be of vegetation rather than animal.

Oh, somewhere on the globe do I believe there should be a place where dinosaurs are still well preserved alive. (—- Only when I am drunk.)

Isolated Environment that keeps, to some extent, pasts

Regaining my composure, I just have reconsidered that stupid idea in a relatively adult way.

Lake Baikal, the deepest lake in the world (a maximum depth of 1,642 meters). Deep down its water would be an ideal preservation facility. Of cause such a place will never allow ground animals to be alive. However maybe a kind of things like skin of dinosaur or even the part of its flesh may possibly be preserved well sufficiently for scientific purposes.

So, it comes in my mind that if Lake Baikal is an ideal place, then ocean as well be such place.

OK then, let’s raise a movement among academics and knowledge-seeking billionaires.
A movement; Excavate deep ocean floor such as Mariana Trench. Or of Lake Baikal.
The bottom of Baikal, which considered once a ground area above sea level, may keep some precious treasure of knowledge for ancient biological system. So, I suppose there would be found might be of remarkably preserved, pickled-in-water like specimen in formalin, —— a remain of dinosaur. There it is pickled Lost World!

Oh, please someone, get me back to sober.

Even with the most advanced technology available for us, it is impossible to undertake excavation in such an extremity of Mariana Trench or the deepest area of Lake Baikal.
—– this is quite normal perception. If anyone who can say it possible, then please do it and tell me the result via some kinds of well-known ways like putting an article about it on National Geographic. Or it’s already been done?

Anyway, after all it is not exactly “The Lost World”.

So, in our DNA found would be sinkhole or plateau in the DNA; data bank of our long-forgotten ancestors

Is it possible to resurrect dinosaur? Like in that modern novel and movie.

Maybe we might find in DNAs in some modern life forms including human, “The Lost World” or say, a kind of plateaus or sinkholes, which are well isolated from any shifts caused by evolutionally mutation of DNA. Then by collecting those parts of DNAs from several life forms, we might obtain a set of parts that can be assembled together into another life form, like assembling Lego blocks.
It’s like deciphering ancient language by tracing back the origin of words from several modern languages. Words and Grammatical order etc. in ancient language might be dissipated and be hidden in several languages in the cause of history.
For instance; If some birds have fragments of DNA that contains information on the spine structure of T-Rex. Then if some specific reptiles have data in their DNA of the internal organs of T-Rex. And if some fishes bring fragments of DNA information for —— of T-Rex.

The point is how to distinguish each specific DNA block that can be the parts of once flourished life form and how to draw the assembly drawing of those specific blocks.

Maybe this kind of concept has already been announced worldwide.
Nevertheless, above statement is just an imagination and therefore there is no proof nor theory nor facts that can support it. —– Just a playful ignorant monologue, it shall be.

Whatever. I am longing for live dinosaurs. Those news articles on ancient forest in Sinkholes ignited my imagination.
