I think so, because DNA which is said to have tendency of selfishness did not opt for something uniform. Of course, cyanobacteria once established quite a uniform world. (Just in my understanding though) However, presently, cyanobacteria are not the majority. And diverse state of hundreds or thousands or billions of species exist on the Earth now. (In my personal opinion though.) DNA did opt for Diversity. And Equity and Inclusion are nested in the very system of lifeform. They all can share somehow their life in a way, for instance, food chain.
Entropy is another element. Because of Entropy, everything will never be stay still forever and any uniformity will continuously propagate into diversity. Opps! Does that sound opposite? Entropy, makes things uniform, isn’t it? OK! but then consider what uniform is all about. uniform means complete order. Quite a static state and just a beginning. It does not necessary means “NOTHING”. As long as, consciousness, mind or spirits, whatsoever exists, maybe, yes maybe, battle of diversity against entropy may continue???? (Oh, don’t put such a silly!)
Matters, Ones, something, whatever anyhow, that are attempting to give up the concept will be the modern parallel to the mass extinction of dinosaurs.
Around there another species, mammals, survived and therefore DNA.
Mammals at that time were not majority. Taking the position of majority does not necessary mean thriving or superior.
Oh, the first issue of my blog this year 2025 has started with such an exaggerated way of speaking that is usual in my case though. L.O.L. Well, there are many people around the world who are studying this kind of thing in more detail and accuracy, and there are many books by them.
I see on the petals of a tiny flower the color of blue, indigo blue or simply deep blue.
Wondering how the color be created, surely the origin is the soil, I conclude, where the flower penetrates into with its powerful roots. Roots often means origine, I think as well.
Flower is said to be evolved from leaves, green leaves then it gives a sensation in human mind thereby triggers the evolution of consciousness.
Tiny little flower at my daily commute.
Creation should be of the nature of our universe.
We can explain the blue which comes from soil with scientific manner by referring to some chemical substances and reactions, bio-mechanism of flower. But nevertheless, so far nobody could give us no clear view of the relation between our consciousness and the color.
Someone said it evokes a feeling of survival due to its association with fruit. But I don’t think so because feeling of beauty often experienced with another thing as well, like geometry.
See, the geometry!
Anyway, the person who insist on the association with survival would raise a theory that makes proof that geometry as well should be of the sort.
People who have near-death experiences often describe flowers flourishing around but rarely say something of green leaves or lashing fresh greenery like seen in late spring or early summer. (I know only one example: beautiful butterflies flying on the canopy of woods.)
Here I do not intend to talk about near-death experiences. Instead, I am just focusing on the human consciousness.
Colors of flesh green is, at which I often feel beauty, probably a symbol of “life”; stronger than that of flowers, I think.
If a feeling of beauty should be associated with survival, why human find a feeling of beauty with fractal geometry?
I can recognize music and often it evokes, in my mind, a specific scenery while nobody told me about any association between them. Is it another “Mary, The super scientist”? I mean, if someone who is a genius scientist and who is deaf from birth suddenly gains hearing capability and listens to a music, will that person awake of new fronter of knowledge or just murmur “Yes I have known it”.
Anyway, I think something unknown, which leads us to that sensation that comes at listening music, surely exists, somewhere maybe another dimension in our universe. The sensation, that can be shared with some people without acquired knowledge.
Sorry, here, I have to stop my bad habit of overstating things in association with something scientific.
Below the picture, yes, now you see it. What kind of music comes to your mind when you see it?
The story tells us something of future of —- Civilization, it looks to me. In the story, the civilization places the nature of human-being on top priority. The nature of human i.e. latent faculty which human potentially possess, is the foundation of its civilization rather than machines, devices or equipment. By further developing human faculty throughout a kind of training with help of some kind of substance that can enhance human capability, such thing as highly integrated computer is not in use, but then machines are in use only for spaceship or airplanes. For human it is impossible to fly in the sky or to transport heavy or large amount in short period of time and further it is impossible to move firster than the speed of light for interstellar travel. So, these are of works that are only available by machine. Then, for time-space navigation that is vital for interstellar travel, special human who are trained to perform it with 4-dimensional time-space perception by its highly enhanced consciousness, are active.
You, Science Fiction fan, if so, now can guess, where the story above comes from.
Frank Herbert’s “Dune”.
It is a story that extends from vast desert to universe
Science and Technology; in a form of knowledge or, of material overwhelmed society.
In its world in the story, science knowledge is quite progressed than that of ours, but at the same time not so surrounded by machines as we are.
Instead, the power of Human Consciousness, is the driving force.
As entropy has been looming over human existence further and further i.e. CO2, marine plastic, deforestation and war, (you name it!), we have to minimize entropy, ideally speaking, a kind of revolutionary shift is to come, as like war between human and AI as briefly mentioned in Frank Herbert’s “Dune”. Here the link to the official home page of Dune. https://dunenovels.com/
Anyway, I don’t know the movie which is film adaptation of the novel of Frank Herbert is popular or not, but I like it very much together with the novel because the insight the story suggests tells us something about what evolution of civilization really could be, it anyway seems to me though.
In 1960′ when the novel was published, some people already thought that AI would be a kind of risk for civilization. I think, maybe of AI, its negative side should be regarded as risk though, entropy generated in overwhelming scale by material-civilization is the real opponent of human in its war against such risk. Frank Herbert referred to AI as the opponent for human in the novel, but I think material-civilization in modern era could be the modern parallel to what he said as AI in his novel. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dune_(novel)
Material-civilizationAI, artificial Intelligence
Consciousness is the driving force, not that way of present human civilization in which material is forcing human consciousness somehow, in the story.
Unfortunately, I could not visit movie theater for Dune 2, but anyway will see it on video in a future. For part 1, I had been somewhat expecting how the space navigator was depicted, but there was no scene of space navigator. I think it is not the major part, the movie directors or producers considered so, maybeeeee————. Dune was once film-adapted in 1984 but it seems that it was not so good for most people. Anyway, in that old version, you can see short footage of space navigator guiding huge gigantesque space craft through time-space. The scene was quite a metaphor thereby people who have not read the novel can never understand at all what the scene is all about.
Oh sorry, the point is not space navigator, rather be focused on is what and how the foundation of civilization should be. Modane world, it seems to me, is full of scientific knowledge and technology which are practiced with mass-scale material, such as machines. Then the side effect is getting out of control. Side effect caused by mass-scale material.
By contrast, in that perspective of the novel, mass-scale material seems under control while human’s natural capability takes fundamental role of civilization, I mean, full of scientific knowledge and technology which are driven by human consciousness.
Material vs Consciousness?
Of course, material is important, and some degree of mass-scale material is necessary for human to be creative as I am now practicing things like networking, netsurfing, vaccination, visiting some distant places on machine vehicle, eating Japanese ramen, reading books in air-conditioned comfort. etc.
Slavery somewhat is depicted in the novel and apparently the society in the novel is not democratic rather, noble like existence are roaming around and some parts of such existences are killing mercilessly some socially weak people. So, the civilization in the novel is not flawless neither.
Here we see two extremes, and now it’s time to really attempt to seek a sophisticated balance in between.
——–Oh, maybe, experts who have this kind of thought have long been active and amateur opinion like the above is surely abundant in the world, so with toast of beer (its just picture though), let me finish my mischievous.
Once I read about something of geometry of flowers. The article said that a key element of it is said to be pentagonal.
Fibonacci sequence, a famous mathematic, is said to be ruling over their geometry. Anyway, at a first glance, I can’t identify the relation between Fibonacci sequence and the geometry of plants and flowers, nonetheless I can feel they have certain mechanism of forming their shape, mechanism which may possibly be represented and/or modeled by mathematics.
Here is the recurrence relation of Fibonacci Sequence (Numbers). F0=0, F1=1 and Fn=Fn-1+Fn-2 for n>1 So, you see, pasts (term: Fn-1+Fn-2) accumulates in the present (term Fn). It looks to me of one of mechanisms of growth.
Also, a fact to be noticed is that Fibonacci Sequence has certain relation with Golden Ratio. The ratio is found in something that has beautiful shape.
Unfortunately, it is impossible for me to figure out how that mathematics reaches pentagonal. (There may be certain theories which were proven well by some academics or professional scientists)
Here I took pictures of several flowers which I found in a park nearby to explore a little bit into the geometry of flowers. You may find some pentagons there.
Cherry Blossom: Japanese like this very much in heart. But however deeply we love it, most of us can never be aware of its divine relation with mathematics without being told. Anyway, I can have Cherry Blossom party (Hana-mi). This is ——–, OK, the leaves look like vertically stretched pentagon, it seems. the “flowers” may contain something of Fibonacci, isn’t it?Azalea flowers. Japanese love this as well as Cherry Blossom.I don’t know the name. They were emitting fluorescence in the real siting though unfortunately picture can’t express it.Oh, Tanpopo!(Japanese for Dandelion) Can you properly pronounce “Tanpopo”? Sorry, today is about geometry of flowers and plants. So, can you find Fibonacci or pentagon there? I think in this picture there are some pentagons.
